Tip #15:
What to do with old or unwanted medications?

Are you keeping unused, unwanted and expired prescriptions? Drugs in your home poses a risk to you, your family and your community.  The temptation is to throw out or flush away those medications; however, flushed drugs become part of the common water supply and can contaminate our drinking and recreation waters.  You can now safely dispose of medications and keep our water clean and sustainable.

Prescriptions drugs, including narcotics, can be returned to many law enforcement locations, including the Mountlake Terrace Police Department at 5906 232nd St. SW.

Information on the Mountlake Terrace drug return program can also be found as a topic on the City's website under "MLT Anytime," see http://user.govoutreach.com/mountlake/faq.php.
