Community Transit operates the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center, located at 6001 236th Street SW. This facility provides Community Transit and King County Metro local bus service with commuter routes to downtown Seattle and University of Washington.  

Community Transit offers Dial-A-Ride transportation (DART)services for people with limited access to regular bus service or whose health or disability condition prevents the use of fixed bus routes.

Light Rail Station

Construction of Sound Transit's new Lynnwood Link Extension webpage light rail project now under construction will connect Mountlake Terrace to SeaTac Airport and the communities of Federal Way, Bellevue, Seattle, Shoreline and Lynnwood.  Service is scheduled to begin in 2024.  Mountlake Terrace Station will be located just east of Interstate 5 and 236th Street SW.

Freeway Station

The Sound Transit Freeway Station offers express bus service to downtown Seattle and Everett.

The facility serves as a connection with the third floor of the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center garage with a covered, concrete pedestrian bridge that crosses the northbound lanes of I-5.
